The principle of regeneration with your own blood

The PRP Injection Treatment is based on the regenerative and healing properties of the thrombocytes or the blood platelets. These cells, the thrombocytes, have the capacity to release locally growth factors, small molecules that act as veritable messengers to activate cell regeneration at skin level.

The plasma contains essential factors to support the cells, like vitamins, nutritious substances, hormones, minerals and proteins. The plasmatic proteins include the molecules essential for coagulation and regeneration, cell differentiation and proliferation.

General information about the treatment

In order to obtain the plasma we use European Certified medical equipment. We obtain plasma from your own blood by centrifugating for 5-7 minutes.

The PRP Therapy means obtaining plasma with rich content of thrombocytes, from your own blood. The plasma is used as a source of growth factors with an important role in the tissue regeneration process. Injecting the plasma in the skin implies the stimulation of the process of microvascularization by forming collagen fibers, which gives a visibly youthful aspect to the treated areas.

The PRP plasma is obtained exclusively from the patient’s blood, using autologous cells and avoiding rejection risks.

The treatment

In order to obtain the best results, we recommend 3 PRP treatments, one a month.

On the first appointment we do a skin analysis and we decide together the treatment plan. We recommend to avoid taking aspirin for 24 hours before the intervention. We collect a 8mm vial of blood which is centrifugated afterwards for 5-7 minutes.

We apply anesthetic cream on the treatment zones for improved comfort.

After centrifugation we obtain the plasma with growth factors which are injected to the face.

We repeat the treatment next month and after 3 months we evaluate the results.

To maintain the results we recommend repeating the treatment every 6-12 months, according to the quality of the skin and the personal habits(sun exposure, smoking).

Recovery and counter-indications

The recovery after PRP is actually instant. During the injections there can be some smarting but the anasthetic cream significantly improves comfort during the procedure. After the injections there may be some small bruises or a discreet redness/eritem. They will disappear usually in 30-60 minutes.
